Canada: War Hungry?
The United Nations was created after the second world war to try and preserve the peace. Since then, the UN has been involved in 49 peace keeping missions. Now, we all know that peace keeping missions actually means that they're going in to blow the crap out of some unsuspecting country. Now people would usually think that the United States or Britain would be involved in most of the missions to "keep the peace." Well that is false. The country that was involved in the most "peace keeping" missions was none other than the great frozen north, that's right Canada. The nation of Canada has been involved in all except nine of these missions. Now if we add in all the times Canada was involved in a conflict before the UN it comes to about 46. For a country in the western hemisphere that is a hell of a lot, especially seeing as the US has only been involved in about 31 conflicts. So in conclusion, nations around the world shouldn't be worried about a green berret sniping their dictators while they're sleeping, but a cruise missile with a red maple leaf slapped onto it.
